# Already completed the initial Samsung setup?

If you've already completed the initial setup without selecting **Custom App**, your Samsung display may default to **MagicINFO**. You can switch it over to Fusion Signage by following these steps:

## Set Fusion Signage as the Custom App

1. Make sure the screen is set to **HDMI 1**:
   **Source → HDMI 1**
2. Go to **Settings → Play Via** and select **Custom App** instead of MagicINFO.
3. Go to **Features → App Management**.
4. Enter the following URL: <u>**https\://fus.app/tizen**</u>

## App management

### Can't see App Management?

If **App Management** isn't available, check whether another signage application is already installed on the screen, such as **VXT**.

Samsung displays may only allow one signage application to be installed at a time. Uninstall the existing application, then check **Features** again to see if **App Management** is now available.

Once available, enter <u>**[https://fus.app/tizen](https://fus.app/tizen)**</u> to install Fusion Signage.&#x20;

### Changing the app URL

1. Exit from the Fusion Signage app.

To do this:&#x20;
Swap the source to HDMI&#x20;

2. Click on Home
3. Navigate to App Management.
4. Navigate down and click ***uninstall***.
5. You will be taken back to the Home page

### Auto-run Fusion Signage

The screen automatically resumes to the last application used.

When the screen is off, as long as Fusion Signage is running in the background, it will turn on and automatically launch the app, regardless of whether it’s powered off via remote or source.

# Uninstalling Fusion Signage

1. Exit from the Fusion Signage app.
2. Go to App Management.
3. Select Uninstall FusionSignage and confirm by clicking Uninstall again.

# Other Settings

4. Follow the prompts to set your desired power on and off times.
5. Holiday management – use this feature to suppress schedules during holiday periods, keeping the screen off for specified times.

## Display orientation

To change the orientation (if needed), go to:

- Settings > All Settings > OnScreen Display > Display Orientation > Source Content Orientation
- Make sure you exit the Fusion Signage app first, otherwise, the Display Orientation option will be greyed out and unavailable.
- Some devices have the capability to auto-rotate based on the installation orientation

## Network settings

- Navigate to: Settings > All Settings > Network > Open Network Settings.
- Follow the prompts to adjust the connection as needed.

## Date and time

To update the device's date / time:

- Go to: Settings > All Settings > System > Time.
- Edit the date and time accordingly.

If the date and time are set too far back you may see the error "Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later" when trying to install the Fusion Signage application. Ensure the date and time are current to install correctly.

## Power and energy saving

For optimal display quality:

- Navigate to: Settings > All Settings > System > Power and Energy Saving.
- Ensure this setting is turned off.
- If your screen lacks brightness, turning this setting off may improve brightness and visibility.

## Software updates

To check for updates:

- Go to: Settings > All Settings > Support > Software Update&#x20;
- The device will scan for newer firmware versions.
- Follow prompts to upgrade if an update is available.

We recommend keeping the device updated ensures best performance and access to new features.

## Firmware information

To verify if your screen runs the latest firmware:

- Switch the source to HDMI.
- Turn the device off.
- Use the sequence: Mute > 1 > 8 > 2 > power on.
- The secret menu will load.
- The firmware version info will be displayed within this menu.

## Factory Reset

1. Switch the source to HDMI.
2. Power off the device.
3. Use the sequence: Mute > 1 > 8 > 2 > Power On.
4. Enter Options in the menu.
5. Select Factory Reset.
6. Confirm the reset when prompted.
7. The screen will reset, which takes about a minute.

- The screen may not give any indication it is resetting, we recommend waiting the full minute.&#x20;

8. Once complete, turn the screen back on.

# FAQ

## Why is the URL different in Custom App

We only use [https://fus.app/tizen](https://fus.app/tizen) for the initial installation. Fusion will take control of the URL after it has been installed so you may see a different URL from [https://fus.app/tizen](https://fus.app/tizen). This is expected and allows for remote application updates on your device.

## Why did my screen auto remember an identity code?

Our application stores the device serial number on our servers when it receives its first identity code. If the application needs to be reset or reinstalled at any point, and gets a new identity our servers will attempt to pair the same screen with the account was previously associated with. This helps if there is an issue with the screen on site and prevents the need for a site visit.

If you don't want the screen to automatically pair with the account, just delete the screen from the account.

## "Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later." error

If you see this error the screen's time may be set to far back. To fix this please refer to initial steps on how change the date and time.&#x20;

## My screen looks too bright

By default, Samsung Tizen screens have Picture Enhancer enabled, which can sometimes make the display appear overly bright or saturated. To turn it off, press the Menu button on your Samsung remote, navigate to Picture > Advanced Settings, and disable Picture Enhancer. You should notice a more natural and balanced colour display immediately.
