# Add media and default settings

- **Add:** add existing media, create new playlists, or schedule items. This is your main hub for populating your library.

- **Default settings:** customise the default behaviour for your media files, such as how images and videos scale (fit, fill, or stretch) and the default display duration for images, websites, or templates.

**Note: **this setting affects still media only. Videos will still play in full. You can always override these defaults within individual playlists.
