Overview

Updated this week

Welcome to the Manage section. This is your hub for adding, viewing, and organising media, playlists, and schedules.

Terms to know about

  • Media – the images, videos, websites, designs, or templates you want to display on your screens.

  • Playlists – containers that hold your selected media (or even other playlists – we call them nested playlists).

  • Schedules – timetables that specify when your playlists will be played, based on the time of day or week.

Handy hint – use the search bar at the top to quickly find specific items by name, or filter items by type using the Media, Playlist, and Schedule tabs next to it.

+Add and default settings

  • Add – add existing media, create new playlists, or schedule items. This is your main hub for populating your library.

  • Default settings – customise the default behaviour for your media files, such as how images and videos scale (fit, fill, or stretch) and the default display duration for images, websites, or templates.

Note – this setting affects still media only. Videos will still play in full. You can always override these defaults within individual playlists.

Folders section

Find the Folders panel on the left side.

  • Here, you can search for or create new folders to organise your content.

  • When you select a folder, its contents are displayed on the right.

Inside a folder – column overview

Once inside a folder, you'll see items listed in columns with three main tabs at the top.

  • Column Visibility – toggle which columns are visible (keep only what you need).

  • Move – when an item is selected, this becomes active, allowing you to move it to another folder or location.

  • Delete – same as moving, but for deleting items.

Handy hint – you can select individual items using the square checkbox on the left, or select all items in the folder with the top checkbox.

Column details

  • Name – the name assigned when the item was saved.

  • Type – indicates if the item is media, a playlist, or a schedule.

  • Created – the creation date of the item.

  • Updated – the most recent modification date.

  • Items – number of media files in a playlist or the number of playlists in a schedule.

  • Duration – length of a video file or the total duration of a playlist.

  • Resolution – the resolution of an image or video.

  • Size – file size of the media.

  • Usage – how many screens, playlists, or schedules the item appears in, and where.

  • Preview – hover over the media thumbnail to see a larger preview.

  • Edit – access type-specific editing tools for the item.

More handy hints

  • Playlists and schedules can both be assigned directly to screens.

  • Media must be added into a playlist before it can be assigned.

  • With an Advanced or Pro Licence, you can nest playlists within other playlists – creating layered, complex content.
