Uploading Media

Updated this week

Add a folder

In the Manage tab, click on Add Folder. We recommend naming your folder based on the campaign or content type. Since a folder can hold media, playlists, and schedules, choose a name that makes sense to you.

Use the three-dot menu to rename, create a sub-folder, or delete a folder.

Add media files

Got your media ready? Select the desired folder, click Add, and choose the media type – image, video, website, design, or zone. The upload screen will appear, where you can either click Browse Files to upload from your computer or drag-and-drop files directly into the folder.

Add a website
To include a website, select Add > Website, then paste the URL into the provided field and click Add. Remember, the website should not require login credentials, as that may prevent it from displaying properly. Test the link in a private / incognito browser window to be sure.

Ensure the website is iframe-compatible – some sites have security settings that block embedding. You can verify this by pasting the URL into an iframe tester like this one.

Recommended media settings
Keep it simple. For optimal display, match your content’s aspect ratio and resolution to your screen. A common ratio is 16:9 at 1920x1080 pixels. Content should be oriented landscape or portrait to match your display.

Handy hint – files larger than 1GB? Compress them with tools like Handbrake – it's quick and easy.

For videos, aim for a bit rate of 6-8 Mbps, exported as MP4 with h.264 or h.265 codecs. Use h.264 baseline profile for maximum device compatibility. Ensure videos are 1920x1080 with square (1:1) pixel aspect ratio.

Media page overview
Click the Media tab at the top to view only media files. This filters out playlists and schedules, giving you a clear focus on your media content.

In the top right, customise your view by toggling columns, or use Move and Delete options. Remember, select the checkbox next to files before moving or deleting.

Another handy hint – use the three-dot menu under the Edit column to rename, move, delete, or download media files.

Please note – deleting content from your media library will remove it from any playlists or schedules it's part of, so double-check before deleting.
