Media and Folders

Updated over a week ago

Creating folders

  1. Click Add Folder.

  2. Name your folder based on the campaign or content type (e.g. Store, Food, Specials).

  3. Name folders as anything that makes sense to your business – a folder can contain media, playlists, and schedules, so organise as you like.

Managing folders

  • Use the 3-dot menu next to each folder to rename, create a sub-folder, or delete.

Adding media files

  • Select the folder you want to add media to.

  • Click Add > choose the media type (image, video, website, design, or zone).

  • Upload files by clicking Browse Files or drag and drop files directly into the folder.

Adding a website

  • Select Add > Website.

  • Paste the website URL into the field and click Add.

  • Make sure the website doesn’t require login credentials – that could prevent it from displaying properly. Test in a private browser window to be sure.

Important note – the website must be iframe-compatible to embed correctly. Use an iframe tester (like this one) to check compatibility.

Supported file types

Recommended media settings

  • Match your content’s aspect ratio / resolution to your screen. Typical aspect ratio: 16:9 at 1920x1080 pixels.

  • Ensure the orientation (landscape or portrait) matches your display.

File size limit

  • Files over 1 GB should be compressed (try tools like Handbrake).

Video Settings

  • Use MP4 format with H.264 or H.265 codec, exported at a bit rate of 6-8 Mbps.

  • Resolution should be 1920x1080 with square pixels (1:1 aspect ratio).

  • Baseline profile of H.264 is most compatible across devices (Main or High profiles are sometimes okay, but may cause issues).

Media page explained

  1. Switch to the Media tab at the top to view only media files – playlists and schedules will be hidden here.

  2. Use the columns toggle in the top right to customise what columns are visible.

Note – you must select media by clicking the checkbox before Move or Delete buttons will activate.

3. Use the 3-dot menu under the Edit column for quick options like Move, Delete, Rename, or Download.

Reminder – deleting content from your media library removes it from all playlists it's assigned to.
