Creating a new playlist
To create a new playlist within the Manage section, follow these steps:
Go to the Manage section (located in the left side menu).
Click Add in the top right corner and select Playlist from the dropdown menu.
Enter a name for your playlist and click Create Playlist.
Adding content to a playlist
From the playlist editor:
Click Add.
Select Media.
Choose the media you want to include in the playlist. You can do this by:
Browsing your computer files.
Dragging and dropping files.
Selecting previously used media from the dropbox.
The selected media will automatically be added to your playlist. When finished, click the X button to close the Add Media popup.
Please note – you can also add a pre-made playlist (nested playlist) within another playlist. To do this, click Add and select Playlist instead of Media. Changes to the nested playlist will update everywhere, allowing quick and effortless content management.
Organising content
Once you've added media files:
Rearrange their order by clicking and holding the drag icon (arrow) under the drag column, then dragging to your preferred position.
Set durations for images, websites, and designs by clicking the duration box and entering the desired time in hh:mm:ss format (default durations can be adjusted via Default Settings on the Manage page).
Choose how your content fits the screen (fit, fill, stretch). This option is also adjustable in Default Settings.
To update multiple items simultaneously, select them and use the options in the top right.
Actions
Located on the right side, actions vary slightly depending on your licence type. You can:
Duplicate an item.
Show or hide (pause temporarily),
Delete (removes it from the playlist but not from your media library),
Or replace a media file to swap content while maintaining scheduling settings.
Content-level scheduling (Advanced and Pro Licences)
Schedule individual media files to appear only during specific times by specifying days, start / end times, and start / end dates. You can add multiple schedules and apply them to single or multiple media files.
Publishing the playlist
When ready:
Click Preview and toggle between landscape or portrait to review your playlist.
Click Save and Publish.
If you’re not ready to assign it to a screen, click Save only.
To assign the playlist:
Use the dropdown to select a specific screen or screen group.
The system shows the online status of your screens and any existing playlists or schedules that might be overridden.
Finally, click Save and Publish – your screens will update shortly with the new content.
Screen offline – if a screen appears offline, it means our server cannot communicate with its application (usually due to internet connection issues). Check your device or try troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Nested playlists
Nested playlists are essentially playlists within a playlist. They allow you to organise and reuse content more efficiently by embedding one playlist inside another.
How it works
To add a nested playlist, open the playlist you'd like to include it in.
Click Add in the top right corner, then select Playlist (not media).
From the pop-up menu, choose the playlist you want to nest. It will be inserted within your current playlist.
You can rearrange the nested playlist just like any other piece of content.
Content plays sequentially. After displaying the current item, the playlist will move into the nested playlist, play its contents, then continue with the main playlist.
Please note – you have to click Save & Publish once you're done editing to apply the changes.
Important notes
Limitations
Nesting is only supported one level deep. You cannot nest a playlist within another nested playlist.
Nested playlists at two or more levels will not be recognised or played by your screen.
Updates
Any modifications made to a nested playlist automatically update everywhere it appears, ensuring consistency across your content.
