Video Processing Status

Updated this week

Fusion Signage automatically converts video files upon upload, provided they are in a supported codec. Weโ€™ve now introduced a status feature to help you easily track whether your video has been successfully processed.

Please note that videos above 4K resolution (4096x2160 or 2160x4096) are not supported. If you need your content to be in a custom resolution for your specific screen, we recommend uploading a smaller resolution and using the scaling feature within the Fusion Signage platform.

Potential status outcomes

  • Successfully processed โ€“ the video has been successfully processed and is ready to display on your screens. This will be indicated by a green tick icon.

  • Pending โ€“ the video is still being processed. It will appear in your playlist but will not display on your screens until processing is complete. This typically takes no longer than 5 minutes and is shown with an hourglass loading icon.

  • Processing failed โ€“ the video could not be processed, either because it uses an unrecognised codec or is corrupt. It will not display on your screens and will be marked with a red circle containing an exclamation mark.

Troubleshooting steps for processing failures

  1. Download your video file and play it locally to check for corruption. Skipping through the entire video ensures the file is fully intact.

  2. If the file plays correctly, delete it from your account and use a video conversion tool such as HandBrake (Open Source Video Transcoder) to convert it with one of the general presets.

  3. Re-upload the converted file to your account for processing.

Additional information for Pro Licence users

If your account has media approvals enabled, you might see a pending approval icon. This indicates that your file is awaiting internal approval from your team. Once approved, the file will automatically enter the processing queue.
