To update your webOS Signage firmware to version 3.36.13, follow the steps below. The update procedure consists of four steps.
If you have any trouble following the steps below, we recommend contacting your hardware reseller or Installer.

Prerequisites:
USB flash drive
Computer with a browser to download the file
Access to your LG UH5Q screen with remote
Steps:
Download the latest version of the firmware image file epk
Insert the USB flash drive into your computer or laptop
Format your USB drive
If using a Mac ensure it is formatted as:
Format: FAT
Scheme: Master Boot Record
Open your USB drive on your computer and create a new folder called
LG_MONITORCopy or move the downloaded epk image file into the
/LG_MONITORdirectory in your USB flash drive.It should look like E:\LG_Monitor\UH5Q_UH7Q_3.36.13.epk (Note: E:\ may be a different letter depending on the number of drives on your device)
Insert the USB flash drive with the firmware to update with into the webOS Signage device.
The Software Update menu should launch automatically, as shown below.
Click the UPDATE button
If the Software Update menu DOES NOT get launched automatically, Manually Launch the Menu - Steps at the bottom of the document.
The device starts updating its firmware. When the update is completed, the webOS Signage device reboots.
How to manually open the Software Update Menu - If it did not load in step 3.
To manually launch the Software Update menu, follow the steps below.
Press the SETTINGS button on the remote controller when on the home screen.
Click the General icon located in the left panel. The settings menu appears on the screen as shown below
Press the button 7—seven times—on the remote control. Then, the Software Update menu gets launched as shown below.
Select the firmware file to update with.
Click the UPDATE button to start updating with the selected firmware.
