One of the greatest benefits of digital signage is that your content can automatically update without you needing to be there.

Schedules are sets of playlists assigned to specific times of day, week, or month.

Important notes to remember

  • Content download – Fusion Signage downloads your scheduled content to your screen at the start time. Your device must be online at that moment for the update to occur.

  • Device time and date – scheduling relies on your device’s clock. Ensure date and time are set correctly to avoid any errors.

How to add a schedule

  1. Create a schedule
    In the Manage section, click Add, then select Schedule and give it a descriptive name (like 'Monday Morning', 'Weekends', or 'Winter').

  2. Select Ttime period
    In the calendar view, click and drag to choose the desired time slot. Use the Current Week and Next Week buttons at the top to scroll through future dates. You can even schedule playlists months ahead.

  3. Configure schedule details
    A pop-up window will appear:

    • Pick a playlist from the dropdown.

    • Enter an event name.

    • Select the days of the week to activate the schedule.

    • Adjust the start and end time.

    • Set the start and end Date.

Handy hint – tick 'Forever' if you want this schedule to recur indefinitely after the start date – no need to set an end date.

4. Add the schedule
Click Add Schedule. The selected time slot will now display your chosen playlist.

Please note – only one playlist can be assigned to a specific time slot.

Setting a default playlist

Between scheduled playlists, your screen would otherwise go blank. To prevent this, set a default playlist.

  • Click the Default Playlist button at the top of the page.

  • Choose your preferred playlist.

  • Click Save.

Your default playlist will play during unscheduled times and can be changed anytime.

Publishing your schedule

  • Click Save and Publish to make the schedule live on your screens.

  • If you’re not ready for deployment, just click Save.

  • To assign the schedule to specific screens or groups, use the dropdown menus.

Please note – if the schedule is already assigned to screens and your device has an internet connection, it will update instantly and smoothly.

Handy hints

  • Online required – your device must be online at the scheduled start time for content to update properly.

  • Only one playlist at a time – Fusion Signage does not support overlapping playlists – only one can play on a screen simultaneously.

  • Automation – schedules are fully automated so you can relax knowing your content will update on time.
