Please note – tagging is a Pro Licence feature. Please reach out to us if you’d like to test it for yourself to see if it’s right for you.
Tagging helps manage your content by minimising the number of playlists for different screens. Previously, each screen with unique content needed its own playlist. With tagging, you can assign tags to screens and create rules for your screens to follow.
How to use the tagging feature
Access tagging settings
Login to your Fusion Signage portal.
Navigate to Settings and select Tagging from the top menu.
Create tags
Click Create Tag, enter a relevant name (QLD or Portrait).
Assign tags to screens:
Click the three dots next to a screen’s name, then select Add Tags.
Or click the screen name, then click Tags at the bottom of the pop-up.
Search for and select your desired tags.
Manage tags
Assigned tags appear next to each screen.
You’ll see a usage counter indicating how many screens have each tag.
To remove tags from screens, select the screens, click Remove Tags, and choose which tags you wish to delete.
Important to note – tags cannot be deleted until they have no screens associated with them (usage count is zero). This prevents accidental removal of tags from multiple screens.
Create tag rules for content
Open an existing playlist or create a new one.
Click Tagging View.
For each piece of content, click the + button in the Tag Rule column.
Build your rule based on screen conditions:
Screen includes all of
Screen includes at least one of
Screen excludes all of
Screen excludes at least one of
Please note – to apply content to all screens, simply skip creating rules.
Finalise content and publish
After setting rules, click Apply and Exit.
Repeat as needed for other content within the playlist.
Preview your playlist to review content targeting a screen or view all content.
Click Save and Publish.
Nested playlists and tagging
You can also assign tags to nested playlists. Add tag rules to a nested playlist similarly to individual content. However, note that tag rules set within nested playlists are ignored at the individual content level – only the rules for the nested playlist as a whole are applied for simplicity.
