Recommended file-upload triggers
The current Fusion Signage setup specifically recommends file-upload workflows using:
- Google Drive
- Microsoft OneDrive
- Dropbox
These are the most straightforward and directly supported options because the trigger already provides the media file needed for the Fusion Signage upload.
The other verified triggers listed above can start a Zap, but generally require additional steps before a file can be uploaded.
The simplest way to use the integration is to start the Zap when a file is added to or updated in a connected cloud-storage platform.
Google Drive
Trigges may include:
- New File in Folder: Starts the Zap when a file is created, uploaded or moved into a selected folder
- Updated File: Starts the Zap when a file is updated
- New Folder: Starts the Zap when a new folder is created
The New File in Folder trigger can also be configured to include files from subfolders.
Example: When a new image is added to a selected Google Drive folder, upload it to Fusion Signage.
Microsoft OneDrive
Triggers may include:
- New File: Starts the Zap when a file is created in the selected location
- New or Updated File: Starts the Zap when a file is created or modified in the selected folder
- New Folder: Starts the Zap when a folder is created
Example: When a new file is added to a selected OneDrive folder, upload it to Fusion Signage.
Dropbox
Triggers may include:
- New File in Folder: Starts the Zap when a file is added to a selected folder
- New or Updated File: Starts the Zap when a file is added or updated
- New Folder: Starts the Zap when a folder is added
Dropbox also provides options for including files contained in subfolders.
Example: When new campaign artwork is added to a Dropbox folder, upload it to Fusion Signage.
