Video Processing Status

Fusion Signage will convert video files when uploaded to a compatible codec. We have now added in a status feature which will allow you to see whether your video has been successfully processed.

Please note we do not support videos above 4K resolution (4096x2160 or 2160x4196). If you require your content to be a custom resolution for your specific screen, please upload the content at a smaller resolution and use the scaling feature within the Fusion Signage platform.

Potential status outcomes;

  1. Successfully Processed -

The video file has been successfully processed and can be loaded onto your screens. This will be shown as a Green Tick icon.

  1. Pending -

The video file is still being processed. It will display in your playlist, but not on your screens until processing is complete. This should take no longer than 5 minutes. This will be shown as an hourglass loading icon.

  1. Processing Failed -

The video file is either in an unrecognised codec or is a corrupt video file and we are unable to process it. This video will not display on screens. This will be shown by a ! in a red circle.

Troubleshooting Steps if Processing Failed

  1. Download your video file and play it yourself to see if it may be corrupt. Skip through the entire video if it is long to ensure that the whole video file is valid.
  2. If the video file is not corrupt you will need to delete that file from your account, download a video conversion tool such as HandBrake: Open Source Video Transcoder and convert it using one of the general presets before re-uploading into your account.

For Pro Licence Users

If your account has Media Approvals enabled, you may also see in this column. This means that file is still waiting for internal approval from your team, and once it has been approved the file will begin to process.
